MRS. PHENG MANIVONG, age 96, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Habersham Medical Center.
Mrs. Manivong was born on June 2, 1915, in Laos; a daughter of the late Phom and Khone Pathamma. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sao Manivong. Mrs. Manivong was a homemaker and a member of the Wat Lao Buddha Sattha Temple and the Lao Families Association of Habersham County.
Survivors include her daughters, Molikone Manivong, Demorest, GA and Bouasone Manivong, Thailand; son, Sounthone Manivong, Thailand; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Monks from the Wat Lao Buddha Sattha Temple and Leaders from the Lao Families Association of Habersham County officiating.
