Albert E "Gene" Pardue

ALBERT E. "GENE" PARDUE, age 78, of Clarkesville, GA, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, at the residence following an extended illness. Mr. Pardue was born in Habersham County, on April 10, 1931 to the late Robert L. and Candace Elrod Pardue. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Stella Carson Pardue, brothers, Wayne and Winfred Pardue and sister, Sue P. Sosebee. Mr. Pardue was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was retired from Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society as a Field Representative with over 25 plus years of dedicated service. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sue Lovell Pardue, Clarkesville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Susan Pardue, Clarkesville, GA and David and Debbie Pardue, Dalton, GA; step-granddaughters, Trista and Kira Beard; step-grandson, Zachery Beard all from Dalton; special "granddaughters" Julia and Jamie Burton and special "great-granddaughter" Tristin Helton. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. William Cashion, Rev. Furman Lewis and Rev. Tommy Stowe officiating. All family and friends will meet at the church prior to the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
