Bertha Watkins Mcduffie

BERTHA WATKINS MCDUFFIE, age 91, of Batesburg, South Carolina, formerly of Habersham County, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010. Mrs. McDuffie was born in Habersham County, Georgia on April 15, 1919, to the late Jim and Icie Scroggs Watkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Obie Isac McDuffie. Mrs. McDuffie was a homemaker and attended New Vision Worship Center. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Addie and John R. Kenny, Batesburg, SC; daughter, Glenda Smith, Batesburg, SC; sons, Obie McDuffie, Baldwin, GA and Harold McDuffie, Carnesville, GA; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Bobby Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Level Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
