Bettie Mirl Ivie Williams

Bettie Mirl Ivie Williams, age 82, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Mrs. Williams was born on August 24, 1943, in Gainesville, to the late James and Helen Parker Ivie. In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Larry Jay Williams, Sr. and son, Larry Jay Williams, Jr.

Bettie was a devoted member of B C Grant Baptist Church and a beloved member of her community. She worked for many years at Mt. Vernon Mills, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Bettie found joy in crafting and had a lifelong love for animals, especially her cherished cats and dogs.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Trinity; nephews and spouses, Greg and Kim Morris, of Alto; Richie and Joyce Morris, of Baldwin; and niece, Gail Williams Welborn, of Baldwin.

Funeral Services will be held for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel. A private interment will be held later at B C Grant Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the funeral home.
