Charlie Wade

Charlie Wade, age 82, of Alto, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on Friday, January 6, 2017 following an extended illness. Mr. Wade was born on July 6, 1934 in Banks County, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Roxie Cross Wade; brothers, James Wade, Clyde Wade, William Wade, Lewis Wade, and Robert Wade; and sister, Etta Wade. Mr. Wade was of the Baptist Faith. He was retired from the city of Alto with over 35 years of loyal and dedicated service. Survivors include his special friend, Lisa Savage, of Alto; adopted grandchildren, Dale Savage, Junior Savage, Australia Savage; nieces, Junita Dills, Mary Kimbrell, Jennie Tomlin, Polly Savage, Merlin Cheek; and nephew, Ronnie Wade. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Dr. Roy G. Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.
