Doreen Bowen Ferguson

Doreen Bowen Ferguson, age 79, of Alto, Georgia went to her Heavenly Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Mrs. Ferguson was born on January 20, 1940 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Donnie Lee Bowen and Monteen Arflin Bowen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, John Henry Morris and David Wood; brothers, Morgan Bowen, Billy Bowen, Donnie Bowen, Jr., Melvin Bowen; sisters, Lucille Hatfield, Ruth Hester, Orabelle Martin.

Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Robert Ferguson, of Alto; daughter, Tammy Wood, of Alto; grandchildren, Hallie Gilleland, of Cornelia; Nicole and Jason Bales, of Cornelia; James Wood, of Forest Hill, CA; great-grandchildren, Brinkley, Kaylyn, Jaden, Dakota, and Cami, Justin Bales; brother, Jerry Bowen, of Pendergrass; and numerous nieces and nephews.
