Dr. Shashikant Patel, age 63, of Salisbury, North Carolina, formerly of Toccoa, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011. Dr. Patel was born on October 19, 1947, in Tanzania, Africa. He was a medical doctor. Survivors include his daughter, Anuradha Saha, Canada; son, Vipul Patel, Toccoa, GA; and brothers, C.M. Patel, Anderson, SC and A.M. Patel, Toccoa, GA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
