Eva Lucile Wilson Propes

EVA LUCILE WILSON PROPES, age 87, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center after a period of declining health. Mrs. Propes was born in Hall County on March 6, 1926, to the late Clyde "Bill" Wilson and Mary Ella Shope Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, G. Denver Propes, Sr.; step-father, A.C. "Autt" Wilson; brother, Hoyt Wilson; father and mother-in-law, J.M. and Maybell Propes; and brother and sister-in-law, J.C. Propes, Sr. and Mary Propes. Mrs. Propes was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia, where she served as Sunday School Secretary for many years. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Clyde Sims, Demorest, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gilbert D. Propes, Jr. and Claudine Propes, Cornelia, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Jerry Hartley, Oakwood, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie L. and Juanita Wilson, Chicopee, GA; brother, Jerry F. Wilson, Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Darilee Sims, Tallulah Falls, GA, Scott Sims, Cornelia, GA, and Celina Carruth and her husband, Lee, Cornelia, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Propes' body was donated to the Medical College of Georgia and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
