Everene Glaze Tomlin

EVERENE G. TOMLIN, age 90, of Mt. Airy, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Mrs. Tomlin was born on January 11, 1924 in White County, Georgia; daughter of the late Lester C. and Nezzie House Glaze. She was also preceded in death by her husband Guy Tomlin; brothers A.J. Glaze, Rondall Glaze, Vernon Glaze, and Barney Lee Glaze; sisters, Arlene Lane, Ruby London and Ada Mae Watkins. Mrs. Tomlin was affiliated with Zion Interdenominational Church and Cornelia C.H. Church. She was formerly employed with Sears and Roebuck and was also a homemaker. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Guy Lee Tomlin, Jr. and Sharon, Sharpsburg, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Danny Wilbanks, Mount Airy; sister, Jo Nell Barrett, Demorest; brother, Jack Glaze, Cleveland, 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Terry Benfield, Rev. Ron Glaze, Rev. Gary Hefner and Rev. Ronald Mote officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Interdenominational Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2014.
