FANNIE MAE HOLT BELL, age 85, Clarkesville, GA passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at a private care facility following an extended illness. Mrs. Bell was born on February 26, 1925, in Dillard, GA to the late Albert and Oshie Banilla Taylor Holt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Bell, one daughter, Linda Jane Bell, brothers, Ray, Tom, and George Holt, and a sister, Jessie Faye Holcomb. Mrs. Bell was a member of the Return Baptist Church. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Rev. Larry Ryals, Clarkesville, GA; sisters-in-law, Roberta Holt, Rabun Cap, GA, Arizona Holt, Mt. City, GA, Alice Holt, Scaly, NC; brother-in-law, Robert Bell, Mt. Airy, GA; brother, Marvin Holt, Mt. City, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Charles L. "Dub" and Carolyn Holt, Mt, City, GA; grandchildren, Christy Ryals, Demorest, GA; Melanie and Richard Acker, Clarkesville, GA, Jonathan Ryals, Savannah, GA, Cadie Lane and Jay Dee Barron, Dahlonega, GA; Great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ryalie, and Hunter Acker. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2010, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Connie Berry officiating. The body will lie-in-state at The Flats of Middle Creek Baptist Church, Scaly Mt., NC from 1:00 p.m. until the committal service at 2:00p.m., in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
