Harold Burns Smith

HAROLD BURNS SMITH, age 71, of Homer, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013. Mr. Smith was born in Lilburn, Georgia on December 19, 1941, to the late Weyman and Mary Burns Smith. He was a member of Homer United Methodist Church. Mr. Smith was a Mason and a member of Sweetwater Lodge #421 F&AM, Lilburn. He was a Steward at Homer United Methodist Church. Mr. Smith was a United States Army Veteran. He retired as a customer service technician with Nordson Corporation with 25 years of service. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Chadwick Smith, Homer; daughter and son-in-law, Galynn and Scott Hunt, Homer; son, Todd Smith, Homer; brother, Terrell Smith, Dahlonega; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Hunt, Taylor Hunt, Emily Hunt and Davis Smith; also several nieces and nephews. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 am on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Homer United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim McLendon and Brandon Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Homer United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 37, Homer, GA 30547.
