Hazel Marie Turner

Hazel Marie Turner, age 86, of Mt. Airy, GA passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010. Mrs. Turner was born on September 18, 1923, in Lydia Mills, South Carolina to the late Jesse F. and Alma Medlock Harvey. She was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Missy Mobley; great-grandson, Skyler Blackburn; brothers, Jesse Harvey and Charles Harvey; and son-in-law, Bill Johnson. Mrs. Turner was a member of Lydia Mills Baptist Church and worked for Reigel Textile. Survivors include her daughters, Jane Johnson, Carnesville, GA and Denise Turner, Alto, GA; her sons and daughters-in-law, John W. Turner, Jr. and Shirley, Greenville, Texas, James and Martha Turner, Alto, GA, and Ricky and Debbie Turner, Mt. Airy, GA; her son Randy Turner, Cleveland, GA; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Turner was the last of her immediate family. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Rosemont Cemetery in Clinton, South Carolina. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
