James Russell Sexton

JAMES RUSSELL SEXTON, age 68, of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013. Mr. Sexton was born on January 12, 1945, in Dearborn, Michigan; son to the late Willis and Goldie Jennings Sexton. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Nortman, Linda Lankford, Janet Sexton, and brother, Michael Sexton. Mr. Sexton was a member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church, and he was a fork lift operator for 15 years. Survivors include sister, Reva Jean Childers, Ponce Inlet, FL; brothers, Stan Sexton, Monroe, MI; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Elaine Sexton, Mt. Airy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Steve Sexton and Greg Pruitt officiating. Interment will be held in Flat Rock, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2012.
