Jerry Lee Franklin

JERRY LEE FRANKLIN, age 60, of Baldwin, Ga., passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Franklin was born on February 23, 1954, in Spartanburg, SC., to the late Marion and Mary "Tootsie" Franklin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny Sparks and a brother, James Marion Franklin. Mr. Franklin was employed with Magnolia Window and Doors. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda Diane Franklin, Baldwin, GA.:, daughter, Angelic Nicole Sheridan, Spruce Pine, NC.; Son, James Robert Franklin, Spruce Pine, NC.; step-son and his wife, Danny and Amie Lloyd, Pendergrass, GA., step-son, Robert Lloyd, Campobello, SC.; sisters; Becky Franklin, Spartanburg, SC. and Michelle Franklin, Spartanburg, SC,; six grandchildren. Memorial services will be held, Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 4:00 p.m.at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA., with Dr. Rick Quarles officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m., prior to the memorial service. The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the humane society of one's choice.
