Joel Morris Bonnette

Joel Morris Bonnette, age 63, of Dahlonega, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Mr. Bonnette was born on March 12, 1957 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Rev. E.O. Bonnette and Virginia Knight Bonnette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan Bonnette. Mr. Bonnette had a passion for music, it was his life. He also enjoyed hiking, especially the Appalachian Trail. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was known to his granddaughters as "Poppie". Mr. Bonnette was employed with Fieldale Farms, having dedicated 29 years of service. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Brooke Arroliga and Juan Carlos Arroliga Mendoza, of Lula; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Gabrielle Bonnette, of Murrayville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eulanne and Ed Lyle, of Clarkesville; Freida and Randy Allen, of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Mercy, Harmony, Eula, Ivah Bonnette; Anaiah and Aliyah Arroliga; nieces, Victoria Bonnette Bidez, Judith Howard, Allyson Hicks, Jessica Bonnette; nephews, Andy Alexander, and Jordan Lyle. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Pastor Marvin Triana officiating. Interment will follow in the Tulip Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the funeral home.
