Lillian L. Abenes

MRS. LILLIAN L. ABENES, age 96, 17 year resident of Demorest, GA and formerly of Hollywood and Miami, FL passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Mrs. Abenes was born on March 23, 1913 in Wayne County, PA and spent her early life in Livingston Manor, NY where her children were born and raised. She was a homemaker and former Bakery Chef. Mrs. Abenes was loved by many and will be missed, but not forgotten. She was preceded in death by her parents Delvin and Bessie Staton Wood and her son Earl Gorr Jr and 3 grandchildren. Survivors include 4 children, sons: Russell Gorr, Cornelia and Kenneth Gorr, Demorest: her daughters, Gladys Baker, PA and Caroline Teelon, FL: 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
