Knoxville

Lynn Arthur Rudeseal, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Mr. Rudeseal was born in Newfoundland, Canada on June 23, 1956 to the late Charles and Jeanette Rudeseal. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Elton Rudeseal.

Mr. Lynn Rudeseal proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he specialized as an Aircraft Electrical Engineer. Following his service, he continued a lifelong career in aviation, dedicating his skills and knowledge to aircraft safety, primarily within the private sector. His passion for aviation extended well beyond his career—at one point, he even held a private pilot's license, fulfilling a dream that took him from the skies of service to personal flight.

Lynn was a true outdoorsman at heart. He found joy in hunting and fishing and had a deep appreciation for the open road, often riding motorcycles whenever he had the chance. His curious and creative spirit led him to tinker with anything electric.

Known for embracing life’s many changes, Lynn even took to modern technology with enthusiasm, enjoying video games with his grandchildren and keeping up with their interests in gaming. Music also played a special role in his life, and he taught himself to play both the guitar and the drums.

Above all, Lynn will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his endless curiosity, and the joy he found in spending time with family—especially his grandkids, who brought him much pride and happiness. His legacy is one of adventure, ingenuity, and a life lived to the fullest.

Survivors include daughter and son--in-law, Tonya and David Hobbs, of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Isaac Hobbs, Opal Hobbs, and Benjamin Hobbs.
