Marshall David Parker, age 79, of Cleveland, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Mr. Parker was born on August 23, 1946 in Whitfield County, Georgia to the late William Parker and Louise Kiker Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Parker. Marshall spent many years working as a graphic designer, lending his skills to various print shops and even owning his own business. His work reflected his dedication, eye for detail, and pride in craftsmanship. Outside of work, Marshall loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and found great peace in yard work, especially tending to his flowerbeds. With a true green thumb, he took pride in nurturing plants and watching them thrive, a reflection of the care he showed in all aspects of his life. Most important to Marshall was his family. He loved deeply and wholeheartedly. He cherished his wife and was a proud father and grandfather. Known affectionately as Paw Parker and Pops, he delighted in time spent with his grandchildren and took great pride in his family's happiness and accomplishments.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 16 years, Mary Findley Parker, of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and James Crofutt, of Hoboken, GA; daughter, Penny Sauls, of Gadsden, AL; step-daughter and spouse, Anna Marie and Johnny Mount, of Alto; step-daughter, Melissa Henslee, of Nashville, TN; step-daughter and spouse, Tricia and Martin Torres, of Cornelia; step-son and spouse, EJ and Mechell Wall, of Tiger; step-daughter and spouse, LuAnn and Ronnie Blackwell, of Demorest; step-son, Ruben Wall, of Cornelia; step-daughter, Mary Ellen Perkins, of Demorest; sisters, Sylvia and Kim; brother, Michael; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Ted Petaccio officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the funeral home prior to the service.
