Mary Sue Merck Allison

Mary Sue Merck Allison, age 85, of Cornelia Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Mrs. Allison was born in Hall County on January 16, 1926; she was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Mary Jane Garrish Merck. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Griff Allison, Jr., and her son, Clyde Allison. Mrs. Allison was of the Baptist faith and a retired textile worker. Survivors include daughter, Ann Taylor, Demorest, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Kenneth Lindsay, Clarkesville, GA; son, Sammie Allison, Mt. Airy, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie and Lynnette Allison, Cornelia, GA; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hillside Baptist Church, In Memory of Mary Sue Merck Allison, P.O. Box 726, Cornelia, GA 30531.
