Michael Albert Goguen Sr.

Michael Albert Goguen, Sr., age 72, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Mr. Goguen was born on July 28, 1953 in Pittsburg, Massachusetts to the late Albert Paul Goguen and Marcilena Marie Richards Goguen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Goguen Mangold; and daughter-in-law, Holly Goguen.

Mike was a hardworking man who took pride in his career, having retired from Magnolia Windows and Doors after years of devoted service. Prior to that, he was employed at Mt. Vernon Mills, where his strong work ethic and reliability were well known. Above all else, Mike was a family man. He always made sure his family came first, not just in words but through his actions every day. He made his loved ones a priority and had a rare ability to make everyone feel welcomed, valued, and included; never allowing anyone to feel like an outsider. His home and his heart were always open to those he cared about.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Goguen, of Clarkesville; son, Michael Albert Goguen, Jr., of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Jason Neal Goguen and Ann Goguen, of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Keith Paul Goguen and Reginia Goguen, of Kingsport, TN; son, Jeramei Goguen and Erica Lund, of Clarkesville; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Jane Goguen, of California; brother-in-law, Bill Mangold, of Texas.

Mr. Goguen's wishes were to be cremated and a Private Family Service will be held.
