Oudom Douangnouanexay

Oudom Douangnouanexay, age 76, of Lula, Georgia passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Oudom Douangnouanexay was born on November 3, 1949, in Savanaket, Laos to Douang and Nouan. Growing up, he developed a lifelong passion for fishing, traveling, and devoting his time to his family, especially his beloved grandbabies. He attended school in Laos before serving in the army, making his way up to the honorable General position. He built a life anchored in hard work and generosity, always putting himself last and making sure everyone else is taken care of first. Beyond his career, he will be remembered for his dedication to the Lao community in California. Above all, he was a dedicated father/grandfather who was happiest when fishing with his sons and making memories with his family.

Oudom will join his son, Somsanouk in heaven, and will be survived by his wife, Pha, of 40+ years, his children Phouthalom Masyhalarth, Nareerat Suparuek, Jeangila Phaxai, Jennifer Garcia, Steven Douangnouanexay, Kevin Douangnouanexay and many extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the funeral home.
