Pauline Ansley

PAULINE SWAFFORD ANSLEY, age 97, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Ansley was born in Macon County, on March 30, 1912, to the late Jess Andrew and Esta Mae Tallent Swafford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Ansley, son, James Everett Ansley, and daughter Juanita Tanksley. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Ansley was a foster parent for 32 children from 1958 - 1984. Survivors include her daughter, Imogene McConnell; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Frank McConnell; daughter, Martha Ann Allen all of Mt. Airy, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Delores Ansley, Fairburn, GA; sister, Lois Mote, Demorest, GA; brother; J.A. Swafford, Helen, GA; 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Hazel Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Trent Smith and Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Junior Abernathy officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
