Peggy Anderson Nestler, age 92, of Gainesville, Georgia, was reunited with her late husband of 55 years, John Carroll Nestler, on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Mrs. Nestler was born at home on April 16, 1933, in Baldwin, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Anderson. Mrs. Nestler was also preceded in death by her brother, James Jackson Anderson, and her grandson, Derik Stiller.
Mrs. Nestler was an active member of First Baptist Church Atlanta, where she sang in the choir, participated in the Atlanta Passion Play, and volunteered at In Touch Ministries. Her career in banking spanned over thirty-five years.
Mrs. Nestler is survived by her daughter, Regina Stiller, of Dahlonega; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cynthia Nestler, of Dahlonega; her granddaughters, DeNaye Turner, Emily Muhammad, Megan Hester, and Michelle Nestler; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Reverend Jerry Cloer officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens adjacent to the chapel.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
