PHYLLIS LAWRENCE, age 50, of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014. Mrs. Lawrence was born on June 9, 1963, in Atlanta Georgia. She was of the Baptist faith and was a pre-school teacher with The Hayes Barton Baptist Church Pre-School. Survivors include her husband, Keith Lawrence, Fuquay-Varina, NC; mother, Carolyn Mercer, Tucker; daughter, Miranda Noel Rivera, Buford; step-daughter, Jennifer Carol Lawrence, Cary, NC; son, Dillon Brent Northrop, Snellville; step-sons, Brian Christopher Lawrence, Garner, NC, Steven Charles Lawrence, Cary, NC; brother, Kenneth Tyrone Mercer, Cumming; grandchildren, Lilianna Rivera, Tristan Rivera, Aiden Rivera, Aaliyah Williams, Jordan Williams and David Lawrence. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Austin Kelley officiating.
