Roberta Jackson

ROBERTA JACKSON, age 74, of Cornelia, GA, died Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Habersham County Medical Center following a sudden illness. Mrs. Jackson was born on September 14, 1934 in Forsyth County, Georgia to the late Robert and Lizzie Smith Dodd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin "Mott" Jackson, her daughter, Brenda Burrell, and her brothers, Donald Robert Lee, and Billy Dodd. She was of the Baptist faith and was a very dedicated and devoted full time homemaker, mother and grandmother. Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law: Mary and Richard Robinson, Cornelia, GA; her daughters: Ruth Black, Cornelia, GA; Diane Gosnell, Alto, GA; her son and daughter-in-law: Eddie and Faye Jackson, Alto, GA; her son: Aaron Jackson, Cornelia, GA; her sisters: Betty Eubanks, Alto, GA; Ruth Tomlin, Alto, GA; Martha Dodd, Alto, GA; Frances McKenzie, Texas; her brothers: J. T. Dodd, Dahlonega, GA; Kenny Dodd, Atlanta, GA; Ronald Dodd, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Tim Beasley and Rev. Jacob Armour officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the South Chapel from 7 until 9 p.m. on Saturday.
