Ronald James Bennett

Ronnie Bennett, age 64, of Cornelia, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Mr. Bennett was born on September 8, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia to Terry Bennett and the late Diane Gibby Johnson. Ronnie worked for many years as a baker. After retiring, he embraced a well-earned season of rest and enjoyment, filling his days with the same enthusiasm and gratitude that had carried him through life. Known for his amazing personality and contagious joy, Ronnie had a gift for lighting up any room he entered. He was a natural storyteller and a devoted joke-teller, spreading laughter wherever he went. To meet Ronnie was to gain a friend, he simply gave no choice. His presence was a bright light, and his cheerful spirit left a mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Among all his roles, Ronnie cherished family most. The time he spent with those he loved brought him immense happiness, and his joy in those moments was both unmistakable and deeply felt. Ronnie Bennett will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud father, and a beaming “Papa” to his precious granddaughter. Ronnie’s life was defined by the deep love he had for those closest to him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Ginger Bennett, of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Morgan and Corwin Kulig, of Sevierville, TN; granddaughter, Esther Kulig; brothers, Tim Bennett, of South Carolina; and Mike Bennett, of St. Simons.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2025 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Corwin Kulig officiating. A Private Inurnment will be held at Yonah Memorial Gardens
