Talmadge O. Moore

TALMADGE O. MOORE, age 71 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Sunday, June 06, 2010 at the Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa following an extended illness. Born in Habersham County, Georgia on November 14, 1938, he was a son of the late Hemmon and Phillip Pruitt Moore. Mr. Moore served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Habersham County Sheriff's Department for many years until his retirement in 1986. He attended Baldwin Congregational Holiness Church for over 18 years where he served faithfully as the church drummer. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his son, Mitchell Moore. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Eva Mae Arrowood Moore, Cornelia, GA; daughters, Sunshine Davis, Cornelia, GA; Mary Davis, Clarkesville, GA; Elizabeth Moore, Gainesville, GA; sons, Stacy Moore, Gainesville, GA; Mark Davis, Clarkesville, GA; sisters, Molly Mote, Baldwin, GA; Rita Ballew, Alto, GA; brothers, John Moore, Mt. Airy, GA; Phillip Moore, Toccoa, GA; aunt, Ethel Luthi, Cornelia, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 09, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel in Baldwin with the Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Matthew Mote officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the South Chapel in Baldwin from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
