Teresa Carol Walker

Teresa White Walker, age 69, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her immediate family, on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Teresa was born on December 30, 1955 to the late Clinton M. White and Betty Ann Jordan White in Biloxi, Mississippi where her father was stationed in the US Air Force. Eventually her parents moved back to their Northeast Georgia home, residing in Cornelia, Georgia where she and her sister, Jane, were raised. She is a graduate of the University of North Georgia and obtained a Masters in International Business from the University of South Carolina. She had a 40 year career in telecommunications with Ciena Corporation/Nortel Networks, serving as a project manager. Her career was marked by a meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic, traits she also instilled in her family.
In May of 1991, Teresa married Bob, and together they raised two wonderful sons: Clint and Jeff, of whom she was immensely proud. Teresa found joy in planning and organizing, evident in both her professional endeavors and personal hobbies. She focused on decorating and landscaping her home, spending hours outdoors tending to her yard, and keeping track of home design trends with an eye towards colors and how they complimented each other. She was fluent in French and enjoyed opportunities to communicate in it. Teresa will be remembered for being a strong and determined woman, who was a cherished wife, mother, and sister.

Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Bob Walker, of Flowery Branch; sons and daughters-in-law, Clint and Katie Walker, of West Columbia, SC ; Jeff and Wylie Walker, of Lexington, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Joe Kitchens, of Hollingsworth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ann W. and Wil Riley of Summerville, SC, as well as nieces, a nephew, grand-nephews and a grand-niece.

A Celebration of Teresa's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Steve Doran officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the funeral home prior to the service.
