Tommy Barnes

Tommy Barnes, age 68, of Toccoa, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, following an extended illness. Mr. Barnes was born on July 10, 1947, in Carnesville, Georgia, to the late James Lendsey and Mary Lou Pritchett Barnes. He was also preceded in death by his baby sister, Beverly Barnes. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Barnes was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country in Korea. He was a loyal and dedicated employee with Coats & Clark, Toccoa, GA with 30 plus years of service. Survivors include his wife, Joan Barnes, Toccoa, GA; son, Brian Thomas Barnes, Toccoa, GA; sister, Patricia Black,Toccoa, GA; brother, Glenn Barnes, Carnesville, GA. Memorial Services are scheduled for1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Faith Memorial Assembly of God, Toccoa, Georgia, with Mr. Chuck Burdette officiating Family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
